About Silk Road Catalyst
OUR MISSION is to Catalyze disciple-making and church planting among the Gospel-Deprived.
OUR VISION is Gospel Access for Everyone – End Gospel Deprivation.
Our Core Values
Kingdom Centric: We value a Kingdom-Centric ministry family, dedicated to advancing God’s Kingdom to all nations. Our purpose is rooted in the gospel of Jesus Christ, and we prioritize His glory above all else. Every effort we undertake—from evangelism to discipleship to serving communities in practical ways—is aimed at proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom of Christ.
Sacrficial Love: We value modeling the sacrificial love of Jesus Christ, who gave His life for the redemption of the world. This love compels us to selflessly serve others, placing their needs above our own and willingly enduring challenges to bring the gospel to all peoples.
Native Leadership: We value native leadership as the most effective and sustainable leadership model for our ministry fields. Leaders native to their locale, country, and region bring essential insights, cultural understanding, and relational connections that empower them to guide ministry efforts, identify and recruit the right manpower, lead foreign team members, and create sustainable impact.
Presence of Legitimacy: This core value is multifaceted and cannot be fully captured in a single paragraph. To explore this concept in depth, we encourage you to read a book authored by SRC’s President, which delves into why Presence of Legitimacy is integral to SRC’s mission. Our Core Beliefs
Bible
We believe the Bible is God’s inspired written Word, relevant to all mankind, inerrant in the original manuscripts, and the final authority in all matters of life and faith. (Psalm 119:105; Matthew 4:4; John 5:39; John 20:30-31; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21)
God
We believe there is one God, the sole Creator of life and truth. He exists co-eternally and co-equally in three persons – God the Father, God the Son & God the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1; Genesis 1:26; Acts 17:24-28)
- God the Father is the head of the triune God. He initiated creation, established redemption through His only Son Jesus Christ, sent His Spirit into the world to indwell and lead His people, and has determined the day, known only by Him, when Jesus will return. (Genesis 1:1; Genesis 1:26; Deuteronomy 32:6; Matthew 6:9; Matthew 24:36; John 3:16; John 14:26; Ephesians 4:6)
- God the Son is Jesus Christ, God incarnate. He is fully deity, conceived by the Holy Spirit and virgin born, lived sinless, the atoning sacrifice for mankind, resurrected from the dead, ascended into heaven, seated at the right hand of God the Father, and interceding for God’s people. (Genesis 1:26; Matthew 1:18; John 1:1; John 3:16; John 14:6; Romans 7:55; Romans 8:34; Colossians 1:15-20; Revelation 22:13)
- God the Holy Spirit is presently active on earth. He is sent by the Father to convict us of our sin, leads us to repentance, indwells and seals those reconciled to God through Jesus Christ. Those He indwells, He seals until the day of redemption and empowers with spiritual gifts to build up the body of Christ and expand God’s Kingdom. (Genesis 1:26; Psalm 139:7-8; John 14:26; Romans 8:26-27; 1 Corinthians 2:10-11; 1 Corinthians 12:7-11; Ephesians 1:13-14; Ephesians 4:30)
Mankind, Sin & Salvation
We believe mankind was created in the image of God to have fellowship with God. Adam & Eve were created first but ultimately disobeyed God. As a result, sin and death entered the world and every one inherited this sin nature. Not one person is exempt. Therefore, we are by nature objects of God’s wrath and destined for eternal judgment. While we are unable to change this status through our own works, God’s grace and divine plan has provided one path for forgiveness, salvation and reconciliation with God. This path is faith in Jesus Christ and repentance of sin. (Genesis 1:26-27; Genesis 3; John 3:16; John 14:6; Romans 3:23-24; Acts 2:14-41; Romans 6:23; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:1-10; 1 Peter 2:24)
The Church
We believe the Church is the bride and body of Jesus Christ, with Jesus as the head, who is comprised of all people, from every nation, tribe & language, who have been reconciled to God through Jesus Christ. The best expression of the Church is within a local community of believers (local church) where together they worship God, fellowship together, make disciples, and demonstrate God’s love to each other and the world. (Acts 2:41-47; Romans 12:4-5; Romans 16:16; 1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Ephesians 1:22; Ephesians 4:1-16; Colossians 1:18; Hebrews 10:24-25)
Return of Jesus
We believe Jesus will return, in His Father’s glory, on the day known only by God the Father, to gather His bride (the Church) to live eternally with Him, to judge & condemn those who reject God’s salvation, to abolish evil, and to make all things new. (Matthew 16:27; Matthew 24:36-39; Mark 13:26-27; John 14:1-4; Acts 1:11; Philippians 3:20; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-5:4; Revelation 20:13-15; Revelation 21:1-8)
